I LOVE her voice, and the song selections, especially Tom Waits. I had the same reaction when I first heard his music. He sounded like a dying cat. But now, Rain Dogs is one of me all time favorite albums. Great interview!

to give credit where it's due, all of the songs woven into the podcast were Lindsay's choices, based on points she said I wanted songs for.

and man, you should have heard her voice on Saturday night.

Rain Dogs also holds a special place in my heart. It was the preshow music for the first play I was in in university. I used it as the preshow music for my first touring one man show. Ain't nothing like Jockey Full of Bourbon to get me in the mood to put on a show.

Oh yeah, that's a killer song. -Hey little bird, fly away home... Definitely great pre-show music! You're in good hands with Tom. Yeah, she's got a beautiful voice, and I like her style. Great post!

This is a really great interview. It's the first podcast I've listened to on the site, and I liked it. In particular, liked how you added the songs you were speaking about as the interview went along. I've heard something similar once before - music used to convey an example of what the speaker is talking about - and it really works to convey things.

on another note, my favourite Marley song (at the moment) is also Burnin' and Looting! and for the same reasons that Lindsay mentions... cool stuff

thanks so much, man. weaving in secondary audio tracks as illustrations is one of the things I like best about podcasting. the form allows for that specific kind of content. I've even postponed various articles I've had in mind to write for the site, given that they'd make better podcasts if people could hear what I'm talking about instead of reading it.
