Eileen Jackson

Eileen M. Jackson, PhD, RN is an anthropologist and a nurse clinical specialist  in gerontology and community mental health. Her research and theory development are directed toward understanding Care both philosophically, experientially and conceptually. She is happily and now legally married in Washington State, to her spouse of 18 years, Dr. MK Sandford. Sometimes she feels like a chameleon on a scotch plaid, holding competing perspectives all at once. She has been part of every movement from Civil rights, to Gay rights from the 60 to the 2010s, as a  feminist, scientist, community organizer, labor organizer, elder advocate and, nurse. As forest dweller, post post-modernist, psychic, dog and forest whisperer in training, and right brain dominant musician, I am discovering the realm of precognition or direct knowing. Above all else I am in love and eternally grateful for the life I've lived and continue to live amongst all the beings in this world.
