This painting, Picasso's Guernica, was a huge part of my moral education. I ran into it like a truck into a wall; it shattered something loose in my heart. I release it into the wind today as a tiny prayer, in hopes that humanity will one day make it across that thin tightrope between beast and our next incarnation. May it be so.
