Earlier this month, we presented you with a theme week called The Dark Side of the Womb. It was so much fun that clearly I can’t let it go. I posted the article below in a comment thread and am now bringing it to you here.
Yashar Ali writes a message to women: You are not crazy. And goes on to articulate, quite well, a rather prevalent dynamic. In his article he speaks of men ‘Gaslighting’ women. But taken beyond gender, I think this term and this tactic are worth looking at. As I read this article, I could immediately see not only times when people have gaslit me, but when I have done it to others and even more so, when I have done it to myself!
